Obituary of Hannah Jackson

Born in Kingston, Jamaica on March 25, 1931 to the late Frederick Gray and Eletia Dawkins Gray, she was the wife of the late Arthur S.C. Jackson. In 1970, Mrs. Jackson came to Philadelphia where she lived for four years. She then moved to the Bridgeton area where she was a resident for the rest of her life. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed by the Vineland Developmental Center as a Human Services Technician for 19 years. She was a faithful member of the Crusaders for Christ Ministries in Bridgeton, where she served as Deaconess. She is survived by; five daughters, Connie Savage (George) of Bridgeton, Sheila Gayle (Erol "Chappy") of Bridgeton, Margaret Fowlin (Clifford) of Bridgeton, Carmen Gbayisomore (the late Akin) of West Orange, and Patricia Shaw of Millville; two sons, Bentley "Donnie" Jackson (Charlotte) of Vineland and Isaac Jackson (Debion) of Bridgeton; a special daughter, Lorna Phillips of Jamaica; a brother, Hugo Hubert Mcleod of Kingston Jamaica; three sisters-in-law, Rachel Anderson of England, Roseanne Bartley of Vineland, and Myrtle Jackson of England; two brothers-in-law, Eliston Mills of Bridgeton and Ashley Clarke of England; 27 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews and other family. She was preceded in death by; two brothers, Jasper Pink and Lennon Edwards (Gloria); three sisters, Clarice Nesbitt, Carmen Clarke and Adlin Mills; a sister-in-law, Helen Mcleod; and a special cousin, Dawn Patricia Williams. Funeral Services will be held at Crusaders for Christ Evangelistic Center, 33 Reeves Rd., Bridgeton, on Friday January 25, 2013 at 12 Noon. Interment will take place at Fordville Memorial Park, Fairfield Township. Friends will be received at the church from 10 AM to 12 Noon, prior to the services.
