Obituary of Donna May Vreeland

Donna May Vreeland, 66, of Fairton passed away at her home on Sunday, August 28, 2022. Born in Union County, NJ, she was the daughter of the late John Vreeland and Serena Brown Vreeland and the wife of Alan Maier. She grew up in Cranford and graduated from Cranford High School. Donna moved to Cumberland County in 1988. She was a long time supporter of the South Jersey Regional Animal Shelter in Vineland. She loved to foster animals and also care for other people's animals when in need. In her free time, she greatly enjoyed reading and was an avid gardener. Donna was also a licensed beautician and would regularly volunteer her time to provide hair cuts to the elderly. She is survived by; her husband, Alan Maier of Hopewell Twp; her son, Ian Maier (Breanne Buccos) of Fairton and her siblings, Serena Fusek of Virginia and Jeffrey Vreeland of Brick. A graveside committal will take place Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at 12pm; located at Fairview Cemetery, 1100 East Broad Street, Westfield NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Donna's memory to the South Jersey Regional Animal Shelter,1244 N Delsea Dr., Vineland, NJ 08360 .
