Charles W. Gregg, Jr. of Fairfield Twp. passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2022 at his home. Born in Bridgeton to Charles W. Gregg, Sr. and the late Nancy Glass Gregg, he was the husband of Monica Sutton Gregg. He had been a resident of Fairfield Twp. for the past five years and before that he had been a long time resident of Bridgeton. Prior to his retirement, Charles had worked as part of the custodial staff at Hopewell Crest School in Hopewell Twp. for over 40 years. He took great joy from his work and often spoke of how much he enjoyed seeing all of the children. In his younger years, he had worked for Ayers Peach Orchard. In his free time, Charles loved to visit the beach and was an avid rock collector and tumbler. Most of all he enjoyed caring for and riding his horse, Max and loved animals of all kinds. He was a member of the Centerton Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. He is survived by; his wife, Monica Gregg of Fairfield Twp.; his father, Charles W. Gregg, Sr. of Rosenhayn; his step-children, Cory VanMeter of Alloway Twp. and Jeffrey VanMeter of Fairton; his grandson, Dominic Dayoc; two sisters, Tracy Sobelman (Dave) of Oregon and Becky Gregg of Vineland and two nieces, Jessica Sobelman Segrist and Stephanie Gregg. He was preceded in death by his mother, Nancy Glass Gregg. Memorial Services will be held at the Centerton Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, 24 Husted Station Rd., Bridgeton on Saturday, August 13th at 1 PM. The memorial service will also be held on zoom: Meeting code 829 5753 7390 and the password is 343098.
