Obituary of Willie L. Wainwright

Willie L. Wainwright, 51, of Millville passed away on Monday, August 1, 2022, at his home. Born in Millville to Willie Brown and Darlene Moore Jones, he had been a resident of Cumberland County most of his life. Willie had been most recently employed with Wawa, working at different stores throughout the county. In his free time, he enjoyed watching television and spending time with his family. He is survived by; his mother, Missionary Darlene Jones of Millville; his father, Mr. Willie (Shirley) Brown of Waldorf, MD; his sons, Shannon Johnson of Vineland and O’syhrus Thompson of Bridgeton; grandchildren, Nylah Johnson(6) and Jayla Johnson(1) both of Vineland; siblings, Lisa Wainwright of Millville, Veronica (Mack) Selby of Millville, Catina Wainwright of Vineland and Shawntia Wainwright (fiancé Cedric) of Malaga, Chauncey Norton of Millville, Edith Handy of Bridgeton, April Badger of Millville, Darryl (Lynnett) Lewis, Gregory (Wendy) Lewis, LaSonya Moore, Jermaine Dillard, Shawn Brown and Sheila (Joseph) Harley all of Waldorf MD; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family. He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Rayfield Jones. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Township on Tuesday, August 9th at 11:00 AM. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 10:00 to 11:00 AM prior to the services. Interment will take place at Haleyville Cemetery, 998-1098 Steep Run Rd, Millville, NJ 08332.
