Betty J. Singletary, 73, of Millville passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2022 at Inspira Medical Center in Vineland. The wife of Truman Singletary, she was born in Elberton, GA and was the daughter of the late George Banks Sr., and Marylee Jackson. She had lived in Millville for the past eight months and had resided in Bridgeton and Paterson prior to that. Before her retirement, Betty had been employed as a nurse’s aide at St. Josephs Hospital in Paterson for over 20 years. A devout Christian, she was a member of Mt. Moriah Evangelistic Church in Paterson. She deeply loved her family and her grandchildren and enjoyed cooking, shopping and flowers. In addition to her husband, Truman, she is survived by two daughters, Dorothy Singletary of Clifton and Debbie Graham of SC; two sons, Mickey Singletary of Bridgeton and Daniel Singletary of Georgia, 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two children, Truman Singletary, Jr. and Geneva Singletary. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Township on Tuesday, August 2nd at 1:00 PM. Friends will be received from 12:00 to 1:00PM prior to the services at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Laurel Lawn Cemetery in Upper Deerfield Township.
