Obituary of Michael Frisko, Jr.

Michael Frisko Jr., 77, of Hopewell Twp., passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2022 at Inspira Medical Center in Vineland. Born in Bridgeton to the late Michael Frisko Sr. and Mildred Martina White Frisko, he was the husband of the late Helga Hirsch Frisko, and resided in Cumberland County his whole life. Michael worked in the railroad industry collectively for over 39 years. He was a Conductor for Winchester and Western Railroad for over 19 years and was previously employed, in his younger years, for Conrail Railroad. He took great pride in being a part of the railroad and all of his grandchildren loved to visit him and see the trains. In a joint venture with his brother Phillip, he was the owner and operator of Frisko's Auto Repair in Hopewell Twp. He also drove for Armellini Trucking and worked for National Freight. Michael was a member of VFW 1795, Loyal Order of Moose, Fraternal Order of Eagles, American Legion and the 5th Ward Club all of Bridgeton. He was also a former member of St. Teresa of Avila in Bridgeton. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, camping, working on cars, bowling and spending time with his family. One of his favorite things to do was travel. He loved to drive and visited many places throughout the United States. He also enjoyed visiting family in Germany. He is survived by his children; Michael M. Frisko (Mary-Colleen) of Vineland and Diana Gaines Carman (Tom Lacioppa) of Deerfield Twp.; his brother, Phillip Q. Frisko (Rosemarie) of Plantation FL; grandchildren, Robin Carman (Vincent Zuno) of Buena, Zoe Frisko and Timothy Frisko both of Vineland; and several nieces, nephews and extended family. He is preceded in death by; his parents, Michael Frisko Sr. and Mildred Martina White Frisko; his wife, Helga Hirsch Frisko; his sister, Mary Frisko Evans; and his brother, Wilbert Frisko. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Township on Monday, July 25th at 12 PM. Friends will be received from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM prior to the services at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Overlook Cemetery, 100 Overlook Dr., Bridgeton.
