Obituary of Adrian Devance Skinner

Adrian Devance Skinner, 36, of Bridgeton passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at his home. The following was lovingly submitted by his family; “I had a talk with God and I began to search myself and I realized God's will must be done and as he continued to accept God's will Adrian Devance (Dough Boy) Skinner passed from this life on Thursday May 26th 2022. Adrian was born February 4th 1986 to Anthony and Jacqueline (Price) Skinner. Adrian received his formative education in the Bridgeton Public School System. He was a graduate of the Bridgeton High School class of 2007. Adrian's christian foundation was developed at the St Augustine AME Zion Church in Bridgeton NJ under the leadership of Pastor William Gray. Adrian was formerly employed with Seabrook Brothers and Sons, Seabrook NJ, A few of Adrian's greatest attributes were his zest for life and his authentic personality because once you met him it was a lasting memory so you could never forget him. Adrian always had a love for writing and also a love for music which he would express with his impressive rapping skills or the technical side of music showcasing his skills as a DJ or taking his dance moves to the dance floor. He also enjoyed the times he spent with his Dad watching football on Football Sunday's. and late nights with his Mom enjoying the online casino games. Adrian was also known for his stellar baking skills if you were privileged to enjoy some of his various cakes and cookies the memory was a lasting one. But his most genuine attribute was the love he had for his family especially his brother Anthony who's favorite quote was I know everything, and what I don't know my brother Adrian knows. He and Anthony just always shared that special bond as brothers so he always treasured and cherished that love, and it's with that same love he leaves everyone to cherish his memory.  His parents Anthony and Jacqueline Skinner Three brothers Darnell Lawrence, and Jeremiah Burrus both of Bridgeton NJ. Rosheik Slater of Salem NJ and one sister Renata Skinner of Seabrook NJ. One sister in law Rhoda Bartley of Millville NJ. His maternal grandmother Janie Price  and his God sister Andrea Price both of Bridgeton NJ. And several aunt's and uncle's and several cousins and so many friends. He was predeceased by his brother Anthony Bartley Jr.  his maternal grandfather Herman Levan Price and his paternal grandmother Fannie Skinner Johnson” Funeral services will be held at John Wesley United Methodist Church on Tuesday, June 7th at 12 Noon. Interment will take place at Cedar Hill Memorial Park in Hopewell Twp. Friends will be received at the church from 10 AM to 12 Noon prior to the services.
