James A. Smith, Jr., 47, of Bridgeton passed away suddenly the result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident early Saturday morning, May 21, 2022.
Born in Bridgeton, he was the son of Barbara Ward Smith of Bridgeton and the late James A. Smith, Sr. He was a lifetime Bridgeton resident.
James was currently employed as a salesman with Chevrolet of Turnersville and had also previously worked at R.K. Chevrolet in Vineland.
He was a member of Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church in Bridgeton.
An avid motorcyclist and Pittsburgh Steelers Fan, he was also a member of the Collective Web Spyder Riderz Club. James was well liked by everyone and would always do all that he could for others.
In addition to his mother, Barbara, he is survived by his sister, Deanna Harris and her husband, Chris of Delaware; his niece and nephew to whom he was a loving uncle, Morgan Harris who was also his God daughter and Christopher James Harris also both of Delaware; his girlfriend, Nicole Ceasar of Bridgeton along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and other family members and friends. He was predeceased by his father, James A. Smith Sr., and grandparents, Ferdinand H. Ward Sr. & Cora M. Ward. And Herbert L. Smith Sr. & Aloha A. Smith

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 28th at 11:00 AM at Union Baptist Temple, 29 Martin Luther King, Jr. Way, Bridgeton. Interment will take place at Cedar Hill Memorial Park in Hopewell Township.
At the request of the family there will be no public viewing.
