Miriam Alice Pierce, 83 of Bridgeton, NJ passed away on April 29, 2022 peacefully at her home. Miriam was born at home in Hopewell Township, NJ to Charles and Marion Pierce. Most of Miriam’s working career was spent at Owens-Illinios Glass Company, Bridgeton, NJ where she made several lifelong friends. She also was employed at Ekco Products, Clayton NJ after the closing of the glass factory. Family meant everything to Miriam, and she was adored by all. She enjoyed laughing and having a good time with all the people who's paths she crossed. Many remember her loving Elvis and dancing with the best of them. She was always more concerned about others than herself, impacted several lives and touched the heart and spirit of all she met. Miriam is survived by her brothers: Robert Pierce of Elmer, NJ and Franklin Pierce (Sally) of Columbus, OH; A nephew Mark Pierce (Suzanne) of Woodstown; niece, Hope Pierce of Sparta, TN; and nephew Zachary Pierce of Mullica Hill, NJ. There are several other nephews, great nephews, nieces, and close loving cousins. As well as her fur baby niece, Maxine, who she spoiled endlessly. Miriam was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Marion Pierce of Elmer, NJ; brother Barry K. Pierce of Mullica Hill, NJ; sister-in-law Rebecca Pierce (Robert) of Elmer; and her lifelong friend Patsy Wilson. A very special extension of loving gratitude to the several cousins: Betty Jones, Sandra Jones, Janet Carty, Donna Moore and several close friends who helped care for her and kept constant vigil one way or another during her final weeks. Your love and support were truly a blessing. The family would also like to extend their gratitude to the Bayada/Hospice Team who showed respect, care and concern during their interactions with Miriam and her family. Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Miriam's memory to the American Cancer Society, 1851 Old Cuthbert Rd, Cherry Hill, NJ 08034 or to the South Jersey Regional Animal Shelter, 1244 N Delsea Dr, Vineland, NJ 08360.
