Obituary of Edward Lee Morris

Edward Lee Morris, 72, of Bridgeton passed away on Sunday, February 20, 2022 at Cooper University Hospital in Camden. Born in Accomac, VA to the late Edward Butts and Della Morris Beachump, he was the husband of Patricia Badger Morris. Edward had lived in Bridgeton for the past 10 years and prior to that he had lived in DE for most of his life after moving from VA at an early age. Prior to his retirement, Edward had worked in maintenance at the Bridgeton McDonald's for several years. Before that, he had spent most of his career working as a truck driver for C&E Furniture in Selbyville, DE and also in the Poultry Industry. In his free time, Edward loved to go shopping for tools at Harbor Freight and building things. He even built his own home. He also enjoyed working on cars. His family and friends would call on Edward anytime something needed to be fixed. He is survived by; his wife, Patricia Morris of Bridgeton; his two sons, Eddie Mumford (Denise) of Lincoln, DE and Evans Mumford (Melissa) of New Bedford, MA; his siblings, Milton Butts of Vineland, Margaret Spalding of Fairfield Twp., Gloria Morris of Vineland, Diana Morris of Vineland and Ethel Morris of Bridgeton and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family members. He was preceded in death by; his daughter, Evangeline Mumford and his sister, Linda Morris. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Saturday, March 12th at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Haleyville Methodist Cemetery in Commercial Twp. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 9 AM to 11 AM prior to the services.
