Obituary of Jerry W. Cossaboon

Jerry W. Cossaboon, Sr., 75, of Lawrence Twp. passed away on Friday, February 25, 2022 at Inspira Medical Center in Vineland. Born in Bridgeton to the late Charles Elder Cossaboon and Jennie Helen Burns Jupin Cossaboon, he was the husband of the late Donna Steever Cossaboon. Jerry had been a resident of Cedarville for the past 50 years and before that he had lived in Newport. Prior to his retirement, Jerry had worked as a contracted pipe fitter and welder for System One in Gibbstown where he had worked at many local jobs including DuPont. He had been previously employed welding and pipe fitting for Penn Glass and Sand for about 17 years and Davis and Sons for many years. In his free time, Jerry loved fresh water fishing and going out to eat. He and his late wife, Donna enjoyed visiting the local flea markets and auctions together. Jerry and Donna cherished their time vacationing with their best friends, Jimmy and the late Marcella Wright and especially enjoyed going on cruises together. Most of all, Jerry loved to spend time with his daughters and grandchildren. He is survived by; his two daughters, Dawn Cossaboon (Jason Wells) of Cedarville and Denise Cossaboon of Cedarville; his eight grandchildren, Michael Wright, Jr. (Jen), Christopher Wright, Sr., Corey Cossaboon, Kirsten Cossaboon, Jonathan Cossaboon, Chelsea Cossaboon, Madison Cossaboon and Jason Cossaboon and many great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by; his wife, Donna Cossaboon; his son, Jerry Cossaboon, Jr.; his siblings, Betty Jupin Weldon, Larry Jupin, Clarence Cossaboon and Wilmer Cossaboon; his brother-in-law, Albert Weldon and his sister-in-law, Marie Jupin. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Monday, March 7th at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Newport Baptist Cemetery in Downe Twp. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 9 AM to 11 AM prior to the services.
