Obituary of Alexander Montalvo

Alexander Montalvo, 44, of Millville passed away on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at his home while under the care of his family and hospice. Born in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico to Maria Velez Kercad Montalvo and the late Miguel A. Montalvo, he was the husband of Rosanna Moore Montalvo. His family moved to southern New Jersey when he was six months old where he had resided the rest of his life. Prior to his illness Alexander was employed as a truck driver for Swift Transportation in PA for 16 years, prior to that he was supervisor for the Dunkin’ Donuts Distribution center in Swedesboro for several years. Alexander had a heart of gold, always helping those in need, especially the homeless. In his free time, he loved to travel, play video games, eat, and spend time with his family. He was always ready for an adventure, ready to leave at the drop of a dime. Alexander loved to share his love of food (especially spicy) with his family and friends, always taking them somewhere to try his latest finds. He is survived by; his wife, Rosanna Montalvo of Millville; his children, Jocelyn, Ivonne, Joanna and Alexander Jr.; his mother, Maria Montalvo of Vineland; his siblings, Miguel Montalvo of Millville, Ivette Montalvo of Bridgeton, Erick Montalvo of Bridgeton, Edward Montalvo of Bridgeton, Jobet Montalvo of PA, Michael Montalvo of PA, and Angel Montalvo of Bridgeton; several nieces, nephew, and extended family. He was preceded in death by, his father, Miguel A. Montalvo and his brother, Edgar Montalvo. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Township on Friday, March 4th at 11:00 AM. Friends will be received from 10:00 to 11:00 AM prior to the services at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Laurel Lawn Cemetery in Upper Deerfield Township.
