Obituary of William W. Ridgeway

William “Bill” W. Ridgeway, 73, of Stow Creek Twp. passed away on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Inspira Medical Center in Vineland. Born in Bridgeton to the late William R. Ridgeway and Anna F. Johnson Ridgeway, he was the husband of Deeanna Young Ridgeway. Bill had been a resident of Stow Creek Twp. for over a year and before that he had resided in Glassboro and Fairfield Twp. Bill was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Vietnam Conflict as a communications officer and mechanic. He had been stationed in Germany and while in country he was stationed in Denang. Prior to his retirement, Bill had worked as a truck driver for Fairfield Pallet in Fairfield Twp. for about 12 years. He had also driven trucks previously for D'Agostino Trucking and Nardelli Brothers. In his free time, Bill enjoyed watching NASCAR and his favorite drivers were the late Dale Earnhardt, Sr and Kevin Harbick. He was also an avid fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and Philadelphia Eagles. In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting. He is survived by; his wife, Deeanna Ridgeway of Stow Creek Twp.; his siblings, Patricia Hickman (Samuel) Fairfield Twp.; James Ridgeway of Fairfield Twp. and his twin brothers, Albert and Charles "Charlie" Ridgeway of Fairfield Twp.; his brother in law, Tomas Capetillo of Titusville, FL and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Walter Roland Ridgeway and Viola Rosemary Capetillo. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Wednesday, February 16th at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Cumberland County Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Hopewell Twp. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 9 AM to 11 AM prior to the services.
