VERNA STUBBS FUNERAL SERVICES HAVE BEEN RESCHEDULED FOR SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 5, 2022. Verna Stubbs, 55, of Williamstown transitioned from this life on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at Cooper University Hospital in Camden. Born in Millville to Barbara Stubbs, she was a resident of Williamstown since 2014 and prior to that she had lived in Gibbstown, Millville, Haleyville and Vineland. Verna was a graduate of Vineland High School, class of 1986 where she enjoyed playing basketball. She later earned a Secretarial Certificate from the Bradford School of Business in Philadelphia. Verna worked as the Executive Personal Assistant to Pastor Jennifer Brown, and for Power of Praise and Deliverance Ministries International in Millville from 1985, under the leadership of Rev Vaughn Brown and Pastor Jennifer Brown where she served as Church Secretary. Verna became very instrumental in assistance and care of the children of the Pastors, where she became a very important part of their household, as she loved and was devoted to them like her very own. Being part of this family, Verna was also exposed to and grew a penchant for- international travel. She had the opportunity to live and serve on the mission field in England-UK, St Maarten, Jamaica, St Lucia, Antigua, St Kitts and also Dubai , and all over the United States. Her family described her as a very organized person who took great pride in her work...VERNA LOVED LIFE. Verna enjoyed helping others, and showing compassion She is survived by; her mother, Barbara Stubbs of Vineland, her siblings, Glendon Stubbs of Haleyville, Darlene Corell of Danville, VA, Deborah Bennett of Danville, VA, Diane Bennett of Danville, VA, David Bennett of Glassboro, Darnell Graves of Java, VA, Dorene Bennett of Glassboro, Dwayne Doss of Bridgeton and Daryl Doss of Bridgeton; her cousin and medical liaison, Pamela Heaggans of Price, NC; her spiritual mother, sister-in-christ, confidant and pastor, Pastor Jennifer Brown of Williamstown and her uncle, Sherman “Skeeter” Harrsion Stubbs of Haleyville. She was preceded in death by; siblings, Paris Moore and Doris Moore; her grandparents, Sherman and Sarah Stubbs and her special close aunt, Marie Stubbs Brown. Also to cherish the memory and love she shared are a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren, friends and other loved ones. Verna will forever be in our hearts…her legacy will live on. Funeral services will be held on at Shiloh Baptist Church, 2411 Memorial Ave., Port Norris on Saturday, February 5th a 11 AM. Interment will take place at Haleyville Methodist Cemetery.
