Obituary of Wayne H. Hoffman

Wayne H. “Homer” Hoffman, 80, of Hopewell Township passed away on Monday, December 27, 2021 at Cumberland Manor. Born in New Bethlehem, PA to the late John Hall Hoffman and Laura Bell Neal Hoffman, he was the husband of the late Diana Gravley Hoffman who passed on December 27, 2020. He had been a Hopewell Township resident for 46 years and had lived in Bridgeton prior to that. Wayne was a veteran of the United States Army and served his country during the Vietnam Conflict. Before his retirement he owned and operated Bob and Wayne’s Mobil Service Station in Bridgeton for 48 years. An avid car enthusiast, he had a passion for performance cars and regularly had projects going at the station where many of his friends would gather to see what was in the works and enjoy their regular coffee and donuts. NHRA Drag Racing, the Atco Raceway and other tracks were always a part of his activity. He is survived by his daughter, Kelly A. Hoffman of Hopewell Township; two grandchildren, Alexis Guidoni and Zayda Echevarria; two great-granddaughters; Skylar McArthur and Mia McArthur; his sister, Larue Hoffman-Cheeseman of Upper Deerfield Township and his brother, Kenneth Hoffman (Vicki) of PA; nieces, Debra DuBois and Ashley Nicklaus and Tracy Hoffman Kumer and nephew, Kenny Wayne Hoffman. He was recently predeceased by his brother, John Craig Hoffman on December 12th. Funeral Services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Township on Wednesday, January 5th at 11:00 AM. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 10:00 to 11:00 AM prior to the services. Interment will take place at Cumberland County Veterans Cemetery in Hopewell Township.
