William R. Murphy, Jr., 62, of Elmer passed away on Thursday, December 23, 2021 at his home under the care of hospice and his family. Born in Philadelphia, PA to Patricia Johnson Murphy and the late William R. Murphy, Sr., he was the husband of the late Mary E. Levering Murphy. William had lived in Elmer for the past four years and before that he had lived in Pitman and Washington Twp. He grew up in the Monroeville area. William was known as a Jack of All Trades in the construction field and had been formerly employed with Mantua Rebuilders (Peach Country) and had worked at several other home restoration businesses around the area. He was a 4 for 4 Philadelphia Sports fan. In his free time, William enjoyed camping, spending time outdoors, hanging around the fire pit, playing horseshoes and playing poker. Most of all he loved to spend time with his family. He is survived by; four sons, Jason Woodall of Williamstown, William R. Murphy III (Kerri) of Williamstown, Sam Murphy of Elmer and Jason Levering of Elmer; his sisters, Lisa Murphy of DE, Linda D'Alfonso of Monroeville and Mary Ann Urbanek of Woodstown and his grandchildren, Nora, Murphy, Jason Jr., Mia and Joey. He was preceded in death by; his wife, Mary E. Murphy and his father, William R. Murphy, Sr. Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
