Obituary of Rosemary T. Rathgeber

Rosemary T. (Kandle) Rathgeber, 77, of Vineland passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2021 at Inspira Medical Center in Vineland following an extended illness. Born in Philadelphia, PA to the late William Douglas and Margaret Convery Douglas, she was the wife of the late Ralph D. Bantivoglio and long time companion of Dennis Kandle. Rosemary had lived in Vineland for the past 21 years and prior to that she had resided in Haddonfield, Collingswood and Philadelphia. Prior to her retirement, she had been part owner and operator of Colonial Taxi Co. in Haddonfield. She had also worked previously in banking. Rosemary met her long time companion Dennis at Berlin Farmers Market and and they were inseparable ever since. The highlight of their time together was a two week trip to Graceland where they stayed at Elvis's Heartbreak Hotel. In her free time, Rosemary enjoyed playing Texas Hold Em poker online, playing keyboard and watching old movies. Before her illness, Rosemary had been an avid bingo player and enjoyed many afternoon and evening games at most of south jersey's bingo halls. She was a member of the Official Elvis Insiders and the John W. Hallahan CGHS Alumnae Association. She is survived by; her significant other of over 20 years, Dennis Kandle of Vineland; her sister, Catherine Murray; her cousin, Joe Convery and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by; her husband, Ralph D. Bantivoglio; her siblings, Helen Seitchick, Peggy Kochersperger, Bill Douglas and Jack Douglas and her beloved rescue cat, Lewey. Graveside services will be held at New St. Mary's Cemetery, 515 W. Browning Rd., Bellmawr, NJ 08031 on Tuesday December 14th at 1 PM.
