Johnny Lee Powell, 91, of Madison passed away on November 21, 2021. Mr. Powell was a member of Central Church of Christ in Huntsville, Alabama. Survivors include children, Louise Powell-Williams, Barabara Powell-Tukes, Carnell Powell, Hubert Lee Powell, Tyrone Powell, Sylvester Powell, Keith Powell, Veronica Powell-Childers English, Dorneita Jenkins, Cheryl Lurray; 13 Grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren; sister, Vernerva Thurston. Preceded in death by wife, Edith London Powell; children, Amos London, Johnny Powell Jr., Jerome Powell; Siblings, Flora Powell-Thompson, Lois Powell-Johnson, Willie James Powell, Ollie B. Powell, Glenn Powell. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Saturday, December 11th at 12 PM. Interment will take place at Gouldtown Memorial Park in Fairfield Twp. following the services. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 10 AM to 12 PM prior to the services.
