Obituary of Darin P. Godfrey

Darin P. Godfrey, 51, of Upper Deerfield Twp. passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at Copper University Hospital in Camden. Born in Bridgeton to the late John Godfrey, Sr. and Anna Blakeslee Godfrey, he was an Upper Deerfield Twp. resident all of his life. Darin had been employed at Hopewell Nursery in Upper Deerfield Twp. He had spent the bulk of his working life as a carpenter and plumber. He had also worked at Fox's Farm in Upper Deerfield Twp. for many years. Darin was known to have a tool for every job and would often be the one to assist family and friends with any help they needed. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, bowling, riding his motorcycle and most of all spending time with his family and many friends. Darin was also an avid fan of the New York Jets. He is survived by; his siblings, LuAnn Godfrey-Riebel (James T., Sr.) of Lawrence Twp., John Godfrey, Jr. of Glen Burnie, MD and Candice “Candi” Connelly (Christopher, Sr.) of Vineland; his nieces and nephews, Angela, James Jr., Brendan, Tyler, Kendall, Lauren, Alyssa, Anna, Christopher Jr. and Emily and a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Besides his parents and all of his grandparents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Dawn M. Cherry. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Friday, October 29th at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Friendship Finley United Methodist Cemetery in Upper Deerfield Twp. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 10 AM to 11AM prior to the services.
