Obituary of Richard A. Henderson Sr.

Richard Allen Henderson, Sr. went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 23, 2021. The son of the late Seth Henderson and Laura Bradway Henderson he was born in Newport on July 7, 1942. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Margaretta “Liz” Henderson. He will be sadly missed by his sons and their wives, Richard and Deborah of Maryland and Steven and Bing of South Carolina; grandson, Richie, III and great-granddaughters, Olivia and Jade; brother, Raymond and wife Marylou Henderson; sister, Dorothy Gallagher and husband, William. Mr. Henderson was loved by nieces Sherri Lynn, Nancy (deceased), Lori and nephews, Jack, Brian, Jeff, Greg, William and their families. Mr. Henderson was predeceased by his brother Sherred and sister, Marianne. Memorial services will be held at First Wesleyan Church, 200 Laurel Heights Drive, Bridgeton on Saturday, October 16th at 12:00 Noon. The family asks that those attending please wear face coverings and practice social distancing. Arrangements are under the direction of the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, Upper Deerfield Township.
