Obituary of Gertrud Menke

Gertrud Menke, 91, of Millville passed away on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at her home under the care of Hospice and her family. Born in Polland to the late Otto and Natalia Schwarz, she was the wife of the late George Karl Felix Menke. She had been a resident of Millville since 2006 and prior to that had lived in Beverly Hills, FL and Upper Deerfield Twp. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed in the packing department of Kimble Glass Co. in Millville for about 20 years. She had been previously employed by M.C. Shrank Co. in Bridgeton and Seabrook Farms in Upper Deerfield Twp. Gertrud was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Bridgeton and was a former member of Christ English Lutheran Church. In her free time, she loved to dance and spend time on needlepoint projects. She is survived by; two daughters, Rosemarie Weber of Millville and Margarete Bordly of Vineland; two sisters, Irma Griebau of Bridgeton and Martha Grasser of Bridgeton; four grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren. Besides her husband, George, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Lucy, Helmut, Irwin, Jerry and Hilda. Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
