Obituary of Starlina C.I. Welden

Starlina C. I. Welden, 29, of Newport, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 30, 2021 in Vineland. Born in Bridgeton to the Clarence Welden and Sara E. Bennett Welden, she was a resident of Newport all of her life. She had been formerly employed at Amazon in Swedesboro. Starlina was a free spirit who lived by her own rules. She had a big heart and was very funny. Starlina had a style all her own and a unique way of dressing and talking. She was also a talented writer and artist. She is survived by; her mother, Sara Welden of Newport; her birth mother, Becky Cook of Newport; her son, Emmanuel Welden; her sisters, Carie Sumpter of Millville, Cheyenne Sumpter of Newport, Carolann Harden of Bridgeton and Serenity Harden of Newport; her brother, Richard Harden, Jr. and her nieces, Nevaeh Young and Karina Harden. She was preceded in death by; her father, Clarence “Doggie” Welden and her step-father, Richard Harden, Sr. Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
