Rosalia “Liz” Chann, 93, of Upper Deerfield Twp. passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 under the care of her family and hospice. Born in Bridgeton to the late Santo Rizzo, Sr. and Maria Saiia Rizzo, she was the wife of the late Peter Chann, Sr. Rosalia had been a resident of Upper Deerfield Twp. since 1955 and before that she had lived in Bridgeton. Prior to her retirement in 1990, she had been employed at Major Clothing Co. in Bridgeton for 25 years. Rosalia was a member of St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church in Carmel and was a lifelong member of the Sisterhood.
Following her retirement, she continued to do custom clothing alterations out of her home. In her free time, Rosalia enjoyed knitting, crocheting and taking trips to the casinos with her friends. She had a great passion for cooking and loved to take day trips with her beloved grandchildren. Rosalia “Lived Life to the Fullest.”
She is survived by; her son, Kenneth Chann Sr. and his wife, Darlene of Vineland; five grandchildren, Rosalia Chann (Ish), “K.C.” Kenneth Chann, Jr. (Allison), Ryan Briggs, (Erin), Melanie Anderson (Kevin), Jason Briggs (Michelle); her sister, Catherine Huffstickler of Lakeland FL; her step-son, Dennis Buckner of SC, her step-grand daughter, Katie Buckner (Matt) and eight great-grandchildren, Kayla, Sarah, Jake, Mason, Emma, Noah, Katie, Julia and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, Peter Chann, Sr., she was preceded in death by; her son, Peter Chann, Jr. and her daughter-in-law, Laura Teel Chann.
