Obituary of Winnie J. Boswell

Winnie J. Boswell, 86, of Hopewell Twp. passed away on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at her home under the care of hospice and her family. Born in Lake Charles, Louisiana to the late Ted Mahaffey and Mae Strother Mahaffey, she was the wife of the late Edwin D. Boswell. Winnie was a resident of Hopewell Twp. for the past 60 years. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed with United Jersey Bank, Cumberland National Bank, Summit Bank and Bank of America in the loan department. In her free time, Winnie loved crossword puzzles, word searches and crocheting. She was also an avid reader and enjoyed gardening and watching basketball and football. She was a graduate of South Eastern Louisiana College where she played college basketball. She is survived by; her daughter, Tammy Rigoli of Bridgeton; two sisters, Bonnie Ruth Dukes and Nell LeBlanc and a brother, Nicky Mahffey all of Louisiana; three grandchildren, Joseph Rigoli, Julianna Rigoli and Allison Schmutz seven great-grandchildren including Gavin Moore. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin D. Boswell. A visitation will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 from 5 PM to 7 PM. Interment will take place at Cumberland County Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Hopewell Twp at a later time.
