Remembering a true pioneer. Alice (Momma) Elizabeth Holmes Rainner born April 26, 1939, to the late Susie G Holmes and Ralph Price in Springtown, NJ. Alice accepted Christ at an early age in her life. Alice departed this life on August 21, 2021. Alice received her early education at Greenwich school district. Alice worked at Vineland Developmental Center for many years, Alice also worked as a DFYS worker for 7 years, before returning to help the developmentally disabled at Elwin training school for many years before retiring. Retirement couldn’t even slow Momma down. After retiring from Elwin, Momma started working at Cumberland County Homemakers as a home health aide. Alice was a devoted mother and grandmother. Alice was also a woman of many cloths and served many off the little she had. Alice loved helping others - she would house you, transport, cook and feed you all at the same time while instilling words of wisdom in you. Alice loved to dance, spend time with her family and loved making her famous potatoes salad for events. Alice will definitely be missed by all the lives she touched. Alice is survived by; her seven children Joseph (Cynthia) Rainner of Bridgeton NJ, Beatrice Rainner of Bridgeton NJ, Charles Rainner of Bridgeton NJ, Debra Rainner of Cedarville, NJ, Elton Rainner of Seabrook NJ, Olivia Rainner of Bridgeton NJ, Lashawn Rainner of Millville NJ; her stepchildren, the Rainner family from Florida and the Holden family; two sisters, June Kelly of Bridgeton NJ and Helena Holmes of Lancaster PA and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Alice was preceded in death by; her mother, Susie Holmes; her father, Ralph Price; her sister, Ruth Holmes and a great-grandson, Dion Rainner Jr. Funeral services will be held at True Vine Pentecostal Church Inc., 100 South 2nd Street, Millville on Friday, September 3rd at 12 Noon. Interment will take place at Laurel Lawn Cemetery in Upper Deerfield Twp. Friends will be received at the church from 10 AM to 12 Noon prior to the services.
