Robert W. Hannan, 78, of Fairfield Twp. passed away on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at his home. Born to the late Francis Willard Hannan and Margaret Bauder Hannan, he was the husband of Laraine McAbee Hannan. He had been a Fairfield Twp. resident all of his life. Robert had worked in the automotive field for over 50 years, working for Chrysler, Cobby's Auto Parts and as a machinist at NAPA Auto Parts. In his free time he enjoyed working on tractors and cars. Robert had many tractors, each one intended for a specific job and he thoroughly enjoyed listening to the sound of the motors. He was known to instruct others on how to properly wash a car and cut the grass as he had a particular way of doing it. Robert also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by; his wife, Laraine Hannan of Fairfield Twp; two children, Stephanie Schenk (Bill) of Hammonton and Steven Hannan of Bridgeton; four grandchildren, Courtney Bartoo (Kevin), Caitlyn Cardone, Holly Cardin (Keegan) and Amanda Hannan; great-grandchildren; Damien, Scarlett and another on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 28th at 11 AM at Fairfield Presbyterian Church, 53 Main St. Fairton, NJ. Friends will be received at the church from 10:30 AM to 11 AM prior to the service. Written condolences can be sent to the family through the funeral home website at www.padgettfuneralhomes.com.
