Obituary of Mary F. Riddle

Mary F. Riddle, 83, of Lower Alloways Creek passed away on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at Cooper University Hospital in Camden. Born in Trenton to the late William D. Goodwin and Nellie D. Aborn Goodwin, she was the wife of the late Earnest “Ernie” Riddle, Sr. Mary had been a resident of Lower Alloways Creek for the past 60 years and prior to that she had lived in Alloway, Salem and Trenton. Prior to her retirement, Mary had been employed in the Lower Alloways Creek School System as an instructional aide for 15 years. She had also been previously employed by Decora in Elmer and was had been a Licensed Practical Nurse. Mary had been a proud homemaker who loved to spend time with and cook for her family. She was a former member of Hope Free Will Baptist Church, Willow Grove Baptist Church, Tri-County Lighthouse Baptist Church and had frequently attended Norma Baptist Church. She and her husband also loved to visit many churches up and down the east coast. She was also very active in musical ministries with her husband through the Strings of Gospel and loved to sing. In her free time, she enjoyed camping and shopping. Mary also volunteered much of her time doing ministry work, especially doing hospital visits. She is survived by; five children, Gennie Louise Diamond of Lower Alloways Creek, William Earnest Riddle of Pennsville, Barry Riddle and his wife, Sherri of Upper Deerfield Twp., Tracy Riddle and his wife, Kim of Pennsville and Kimberly Webb and her husband, James of Pennsville; her daughter in law, Denise Riddle of DE; 14 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great- grandchild. She was preceded in death by; her husband, Earnest “Earnie” Riddle, Sr.; her son, Earnest Riddle, Jr.; her son in law, Rick Diamond; one grandchild and one great-grandchild. Funeral Services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Sunday, August 1st at 12:30 PM. Interment will take place at East View Cemetery in Salem. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM prior to the services.
