Obituary of Thomas P. Harris

Thomas P. Harris, 86, of Shiloh passed away early Friday morning, July 23, 2021 at the Cumberland Manor in Hopewell Twp. Born in Lower Alloways Creek to the late Lester Harris and Carrie Dawson Harris, he was the husband of Patricia Dunn Harris. Thomas had been a resident of Shiloh since 1977 and prior to that he had lived in Bridgeton. He had been a life long farmer and had worked at many local farms and nurseries including; Princeton Nursery, Cumberland County Farms, Seabrook Farms, Pioppi Farms and Bonincini Nursery. In is free time, Thomas enjoyed gardening, doing yard work, going to auctions, shopping and riding around in his truck. Most of all he loved to spend time with his family. Thomas was a John Wayne fan and also loved to collect model tractors especially John Deere. He is survived by; his wife of 59 years, Patricia Harris of Shiloh; his granddaughter, Jessica Fogg of Hopewell Twp.; his grandson, Joseph Fogg IV of Stow Creek Twp.; his sisters, Margie Harris and Beverley Harris both of Bridgeton; his step-sister, Joan Caldwell of Bridgeton and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by; his daughter, Theresa Fogg; his step mother, Thelma Harris; his step father, Eddie Gahrs; his sisters, Elizabeth Smith and Martha Sutton and his step brothers, Jimmy Hardwick and Alan Watson. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Wednesday, July 28th at 12 Noon. Interment will take place at Fernwood Memorial Park in Hopewell Twp. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 11 AM to 12 Noon prior to the services.
