Obituary of Barbara K. Franklin

Barbara K. Franklin, 70, of Dividing Creek passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at Inpira Medical Center in Vineland. Born in Bridgeton to the late Robert Riley and Naomi Sayres Riley, she was the wife of the late Wayne M. Franklin, Sr. Barbara had been a resident Dividing Creek for the past year and a half but had been a Newport Resident most of her life. In her free time, she enjoyed quilting and sewing. She is survived by; three daughters, Anita Martinez (Juan) of Downe Twp., Lisa Munyon (James) of Newport and Elizabeth Hitchens (Dwayne) of Cedarville; three siblings, Nancy Walker, Frank Riley and Barney Tubman; 11 grandchildren including four she raised, Nicole Swain, Ronald Swain, III, Mark McCall, II and Michael McCall and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by; her husband, Wanye M. Franklin, Sr.; her son, Wayne M. Franklin, Jr.; her siblings, Robert Riley, Jr., Wes Tubman and Ida Wheaton and her granddaughter, Kerilyn Franklin. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Monday, July 19th at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place at Dividing Creek Baptist Cemetery.
