Obituary of Walter L. Brown

He was born in Salem on August 4, 1936 to the late Oleta and Leroy Brown, Sr. Walter was a loyal employee for 60 years and worked up to the beginning of his illness at the John Fenwick restaurant on the New Jersey Turnpike. He attended Quinton and Salem schools. Walter was a devoted husband and father, and he leaves behind; his loving wife Laura Brown of 56 years; and his three daughters, Jimmie Lee Headen and Torshika Brown of Vineland, NJ and Julia Brown of Atlanta, GA; nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is also survived by; a sister, Delores Brown of Bridgeton, two aunts and an uncle. He was preceded in death by; five children, two brothers, George Harris and Leroy Brown, Jr. and a sister, Dorothy Veasey. Funeral Services will be held at the Padgett Funeral Home, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Township, on Friday, November 30, 2012 at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Cedar Hill Memorial Park in Hopewell Township. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 9 AM to 11 AM prior to the services.
