Obituary of Eleanor D. Maxwell

Eleanor D. Maxwell, 88, of Cedarville passed away peacefully on Friday, June 4, 2021 at home surrounded by her memories. Eleanor was born in Millville and had been a Cedarville resident since the age of 13. She was the wife of Robert E. Maxwell. She and Robert were married on March 27, 1954, equating to over 67 years of marriage. Eleanor was a school bus driver for Myron L. Powell Elementary school for over 40 years. She retired from Sheppard Bus Service but had been with the company when it was Go Down and Zimmerman bus companies. She had also worked for Bodine Catering. Eleanor had been greatly involved in Lawerence Township activities. She served on the township Board of Elections, was a member of the Historical Society and helped organize township parades and activities. In her free time she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially caring for her grandchildren. Eleanor was a talented artist and enjoyed many different types of crafting. She also loved to decorate for holidays. Eleanor loved her trips to the casinos in Atlantic City, she especially enjoyed the Red, White and Blue slot machines. In addition to her husband, Robert, she is survived by; daughters, Donna Riebel (John) of Bridgeton and Robin Bundy (Donald) of Cedarville; grandchildren, Vincent Bertucci III (Veronica), Ryan Bundy, Dominick Bertucci Sr. (Brooke) and John “Max” Riebel (Felicia); great-grandchildren, Vincent Bertucci IV, Jayden Corrigan, Victor, Bertucci, Dominick Bertucci Jr and Bayleigh Bertucci; and a brother, Clifford Johnson. She was preceded in death by; siblings, Lyle Davis, Howard Davis, George Walter Johnson and Maryanne Franks. Memorial services will be held at the Cedarville Baptist Church, 328 Main St. Cedarville, NJ 08311 on Friday June 11th at 7PM.
