Obituary of Frank Charles Bedford Sr.

Frank Charles Bedford, Sr, 82, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, the 26th of May, 2021. Family as well as guest visitation will be held from 2:00 to 3:00 pm followed by a celebration of life service, Wednesday, June 2nd at Padgett’s Funeral Home, 1107 NJ-77, Bridgeton, New Jersey, officiated by the Reverend Charles Fithian. Frank was born on November 12th, 1938 in Pottsville, Pennsylvania to Frank and Virginia Bedford, and after the tragic loss of his father in an automobile accident when Frank was only eight years old, the family moved to Bridgeton, New Jersey where he later met Alice Boswell, got married, and raised a family. Frank was affectionately known as “Butch” by those closest to him. He was a devoted and faithful husband of 62 years, a loving father of five children, and a proud grandfather and great-grandfather. Frank loved to spend time with his wife and family and was a huge fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies. He was predeceased by his sister Anita and brother David. He is survived by his wife, Alice Bedford, his sister, Virginia Blizzard, and his five children, Susan, Frank Jr., Winnie, Rhonda and Steven as well as his 21 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. No burial date has been set at this time.
