It is with great sadness that the family of Judith Ann "Spring Rain" Seeney Carney is disclosing that Judy has ended her life’s journey and has returned to our Creator. On Saturday, May 15, 2021, Judy passed away, suddenly and quietly at the South Jersey Hospital System - Inspira, in Vineland, New Jersey. Judy was born on October 2, 1942 in Kenton, Delaware, to the late Lynford Boyd and Marguerite Seeney (Coombs). She had two siblings; Lynford (Ronnie) Seeney, and Robert A. Seeney. She was also the mother of Randy Seeney, who predeceased her in December of 1979. On July 4th, 1973, Judy married her love, William B. Carney, and they started their family by bringing into the world their son, William B. Carney Jr. Judy worked and made friends while employed by Price Brothers, Comar Glass, and driving bus for CATS (Cumberland Area Transport System). When not at work, Judy made use of her time by serving on the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion Post 95 and the VFW. She loved traveling with her family and enjoyed visiting the sights at destinations like, The Grand Canyon and Sedona, in Arizona, Kennebunkport, Maine, and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. She was also a proud member of the Nanticoke- Lenni Lenape Tribal Nation. Although predeceased by her parents, Lynford B. and Marguerite Seeney (Coombs), her son, Randy Seeney, one brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Katie Seeney, her father and mother in-law, John (Jack) and Elizabeth Carney, her in-laws, Nancy, Emma, and Mary Seeney, Mary Jane Jacques. Also , John Jr. and Shirley Carney, Fredrick Carney, Mary (Libby) and Benjamin Clark, and Roland Carney and Michael Oreski; Judy leaves to mourn her passing; her husband, William B. Carney and her son William B. Carney Jr., both of Bridgeton, New Jersey, Her brother and sister-in-law, Lynford (Ronnie) and Nell Seeney, of Jacksonville, Florida, her sister in-law Joyce Carney, of Troutman, North Carolina, and Ronda Carney, of Vineland, New Jersey, and many nieces, nephews and friends. She also enjoyed a lifelong friendship of nearly 50 years with her dear friend Naoma Ridgeway. Judy could light up a room with her kindness, compassion, and fun sense of humor and it made her the darling of everywhere she went and everyone she met. Her passing will be felt forever by her heartbroken family and her many grieving friends. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Township on Saturday, May 22nd at 12 Noon. Interment will take place at Fernwood Memorial Park in Hopewell Twp. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 11 AM to 12 Noon prior to the services.
