Alma Nichols, 91, of Elmer passed away on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at Inspira Medical Center in Elmer. Born in Carneys Point to Luther and Alice Waller, she had been the wife of the late David G. Nichols. Alma had lived in Elmer for 74 years, prior to that she had lived in Bridgeton. She was employed at Seabrook School in the cafeteria department for ten years. Alma was a member of Deerfield United Methodist Church. In her free time she enjoyed working on puzzles and spending time with her family. She is survived by; two children, Mark Nichols (Debbie) of Pittsgrove and Louise Motil (Chuck) of Hopewell Twp.; a brother, Bert Waller of GA; two sisters, Patsy Brown of Hopewell Twp. and June Adams of Bridgeton; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and one on the way. She was preceded in death by; her parents, Luther and Alice Madeline “Lane” Waller; her husband; David G. Nichols; a daughter, Deborah Bell; a son, David Nichols; brothers; Robert Waller, Paul Waller, Thomas Waller, Edward Waller and Luther Waller Jr; and a sister, Betty Pereset. A graveside committal service will take place at Deerfield Methodist Cemetery at a later date.
