Obituary of Robert A. Gould

Robert A. Gould of Stow Creek Twp. passed away on Wednesday April 28, 2021 at his home under the care of his family and hospice. Born in Bridgeton to the late Joseph H. Gould, Sr. and Emmaline Pierce Gould, he was the husband of Josephine Spatola Gould. Robert was a lifetime resident of Stow Creek Twp. He had been previously employed assisting his wife, Josephine with the operation of Pepies Pizza in Shiloh and Mays Landing as the pizza chef. Robert had also been previously employed at Red Pack, Clement Pappas, Cumberland Pallet and G.E. Fabricators. In his free time, he was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapping. He is survived by his wife, Josephine of Stow Creek Twp.; two daughters, Teresa E. Rodgers (Al Gandy) of Millville and Anita M. Gould (B.J. Sooy) of Bridgeton; two step-sons, Eugene F. Spatola and Ronald T. Spatola, Sr.; a brother, Joseph Gould of Stow Creek Twp. and five grandchildren, Robert T. Rodgers, William W. Sooy, III, Emmaline M. Gandy, Damien Z. Sooy and Joseph S. Sooy. He was preceded in death by his aunt, Reba Vega-Ojeda and several other aunts, uncles and other family members. A gathering for comments by family and friends will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Tuesday, May 4th at 4 PM. A walkthrough visitation will be held from 3 PM to 4 PM prior to the gathering. Due to current regulations associated with the Covid-19 healthcare situation, we are limited to 75 people within the funeral home at a time and the understanding and cooperation of the public is greatly appreciated.
