Obituary of Wayne M. Franklin

Wayne M. Franklin, 70, of Dividing Creek passed away on Sunday, April 18, 2021 at Inspira Medical Center in Vineland. Born in Waynesville, NC to the late William Thomas Franklin and Lona Connard Franklin, he was the husband of Barbara Riley Franklin. Wayne had been a Downe Twp. resident most of his life. Prior to his retirement he had been employed for many years by Ricci Bros. Sand Co. in Port Norris. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and was an avid hunter. He is survived by his wife, Barbara K. Franklin of Downe Twp., three daughters, Anita Martinez (Juan) of Downe Twp., Lisa Munyon (James, Jr.) of Newport and Elizabeth Hitchens (Dwayne) of Cedarville; two brothers, Donald Franklin of Downe Twp. and Jerry Phillips of Downe Twp.; a sister, Edith Whitney of NC; ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Wayne M. Franklin, Jr.; a granddaughter, Keri Lyn and several brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Monday, April 26th at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Dividing Creek Baptist Cemetery in Downe Twp. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 10 AM to 11 AM prior to the services.
