Obituary of Margaret S. Moore

Margaret S. Moore, 93, of Elmer passed away on Saturday, April 3, 2021 at her home under the care of Hospice and her family. Born in Norristown, PA to the late Charles W. Scull and Esther M. Kirk Scull, she was the wife of the late Samuel D. Moore. Margaret had lived in Cedarville since 1962 but had been a resident of Elmer for the past seven years. She had previously resided in Magaheysville, VA and Wrightstown, PA where she was born and raised. Prior to her retirement in 1992, Margaret had worked for the New Jersey Department of Youth and Family Services since 1967 where she eventually served as assistant supervisor. She also volunteer at the Bridgeton Public Library and drove meals for Meals on Wheels after she had retired. Margaret was a member of the Greenwich Friends Meeting House. In her free time, Margaret enjoyed reading books of all kinds. She is survived by; four sons, John C. Moore (Barbara) of Gibbstown, James S. Moore (Sherri) of Goodview, VA, Joseph W. Moore (Delores) of Elmer and David L. Moore of Iowa City, IA; her daughter, Rebecca M. Moore of TN; her brother, C. Robert Scull of Arizona; four grandchildren and a great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel C. Moore. Funeral services were held privately at the convenience of the family.
