Obituary of Florence L. Johnson

Florence L. Johnson, 81, went to her eternal home on Saturday, March 27, 2021. She was the daughter of the late Robert F. and Florence Hutt and the wife of the late Charles J. Johnson. Florence was a loving and doting daughter, sister, aunt, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, affectionately known as Lorraine aka “Mitzi”. She attended Daretown Elementary School from K-8th grade and graduated from Woodstown High School in 1957. She had been employed at Elmer Hospital in the Housekeeping Department, Chatham Dress Factory in Elmer until they closed their doors and Fairfield Primary School as a Cafeteria and Playground Aide. She leaves to mourn her passing; her daughters, Robbin L. Thomas (Craig), Ranissa L. and adopted daughter, Danisa L.; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; especially Edwin F. “Ed” Stewart who she helped raise from day one and was like a son to her. She was preceded in death by; her sisters, Nardean B. Stewart (Edwin Sr.), Virginia B. Hughes (Timothy Sr.) and Awilda J. Hutt; her brothers, Robert Jr. and Mahlon Hutt; a granddaughter, Carrie Lorraine Thomas; her husband, Charles J. Johnson and her companion Gerald Taylor. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Saturday April 3rd at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Morning Star Cemetery in Woodstown. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 10 AM to 11 AM prior to the services.
