Nona L. Snyder, 93, of Pittsgrove passed away on Monday, March 8, 2021 at her home. Born in Bridgeton to the late Elmer Blizzard and Arabella Shaffer Blizzard, she was the wife of the late Harry W. Snyder. They were married on November 23, 1946 in Bridgeton. Nona was a graduate of Bridgeton High School Class of 1946. Prior to her retirement, she had worked as hostess at the Centerton Country Club for 35 years. Nona had also worked with her husband on their farm in Centerton and while in high school, she had worked at the former PJ Ritter Company in Bridgeton. She was a member of the Echo Rebecka Lodge #96 in Centerton and she was a life member of the Women of the Moose in Bridgeton. Nona loved skating and she had met her husband, Harry at the Radio Barn Skating Rink at Sunset Lake. She also enjoyed dancing, attending local theater productions, traveling, spending time at her place in Wildwood, going to any beach and watching the Eagles and Phillies. Most of all, Nona loved to attend her grandchildren and great-grandchildren's softball and baseball games. She is survived by; her children, Carolyn Brown (Charlie), Harry E. Snyder (Pat), Patricia Fisher (John) and James Snyder (Sharon) all of Pittsgrove.; her sister, Agnes Holton of Pittsgrove Twp.; her grandchildren, Cheri Barton, Christie Willoughby, Cathy vanderMaarel, Harry K. Snyder, Miranda Salvatore, Dana Fisher, Patrick Fisher, David Fisher, Kelli Mavorff and Jodi Mavorff and her great grandchildren, Kylee, Caroline, Cooper, Abigail, Harry J., Lucas, Anthony “AJ”, Patrick, Jr., Hannah, Casey and Logan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry W. Snyder and her parents, Elmer and Arabella Blizzard. Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Interment will take place at Olivet Cemetery in Pittsgrove Twp. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations may be made in Nona's memory to the Elmer Little League, P.O. Box 277, Elmer, NJ 08318 or to Centerton Fire Co. Station 23, 64 Dealtown Rd., Pittsgrove, NJ 08318.
