Percie Lee (Williams) Everett was born on February 10, 1934, in Hillsboro County, Tampa, Florida and later moved to Salisbury, Maryland, to the late Robert Williams and Charlie Mae McClendon. Mother Everett transitioned from this life to her heavenly home on Sunday, February 28, 2021. She was educated and graduated from the Salisbury School District. In 1951, she met and married the late Elder Rufus Leroy Everett, and out of this union came nine daughters and three sons. Mother Everett worked at Cleveland Partition which is now known as Rock-Tenn for over 30 years until she retired. She dedicated her life to Christ in 1951 under the leadership of Bishop James Eurie of Salisbury, Maryland. In 1954 she moved to N.J. and fellowshipped with Love Chapel under the leadership of Superintendent Bryant and Elder Singleton. From there, the Lord sent them to Cedarville, N.J., with Elder Singleton to start a church named Holy Community COGIC, until the Lord called Elder Rufus L. Everett to Pastor. Her husband founded Holy United COGIC, and while there, she worked alongside him in ministry. Mother Everett wore many hats in the ministry including, Evangelist Missionary, Secretary, Sunday School Teacher, and Worship Leader. After her husband’s passing, the Lord led Mother Everett to Vineland, N.J. to established Everett Memorial Temple COGIC. She pastored until the Lord led her to pass the mantel to her son, Elder Timothy Everett Sr. the current Pastor of Abundant Life Praise and Worship Center COGIC, Vineland, NJ where she was the church mother in her local church. Mother Everett was also the Assistant District Missionary for the Evangelical District under the leadership of Superintendent Timothy Everett Sr. She a National Evangelist serving under Bishop Ahmed Screven Esq. Prelate and Supervisor Dr. Sherri Penson of the St. Thomas Virgin Island Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction. Mother Everett leaves behind to cherish her memory, one son, Timothy Everett Sr. (Vivian), and daughters Percie Kent (Lewis Sr.), Carolyn Johnson (William), Gloria Littlejohn, Paulette Robinson (Arden Sr.), Priscilla Tyson (Leslie Sr.), Shirley Walker (Ronald Sr.), Diane Everett (Felix). 62 grandchildren, 84 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Mother Everett also leaves behind her church buddy and friend Mother Evelyn Jackson. She also had sons and daughters that she took under her wings, Apostle Darlene Bryant, and Pastor Jeffrey Bryant and Manetta Manson and a special son Robert Wells and a host of spiritual sons and daughters. Mother Everett is preceded in death by her husband, Elder Rufus Everett, one sister Willie T Singleton, Two sons Rufus and Paul Everett, two daughters Evelyn Gross and Rachel Blount. One daughter-in-law Penelope “Penny” Everett, and one son-in-law Larry Littlejohn Her favorite scripture is Psalms 27:1 “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” Funeral Services will be held at Healing Wings Pentecostal Temple Church of God in Christ, 520 E Stanger Ave, Glassboro, NJ 08028 on Saturday, March 6th at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Haleyville Methodist Cemetery in Commercial Twp. Friends will be received at the church from 9 AM to 11 AM prior to the services.
