Dorothy T. Stoms 94, of Upper Deerfield Twp., passed away on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at her home. Born in Verga, NJ to the late Harry Sturgis and Wanda “Rybicki” Sturgis, she had been the wife of Lewis Stoms Sr. for 38 years. She was an Upper Deerfield Twp. resident for over 51 years; she had lived in Almonesson prior to that. She had been a member of the Deerfield Methodist Church which was a large a part of her and her husband Lewis’s lives. Dorothy enjoyed worship, Bible study and fellowship with her church family and loved to sing in the choir, adding her voice to the cantatas and other special music through the years. She had also been a member of the Willing Workers ladies group. In her free time she also enjoyed cooking, baking, china painting, refinishing furniture, needle work, camping trips and spending time with her family and friends. Dorothy was also a talented water-skier. She thoroughly enjoyed entertaining, especially family and holiday dinners. She is survived by her loving husband, Lewis Stoms Sr.; a son, Howard Davis Jr. (Judy) of Pittsgrove; step-children Lewis Stoms Jr. (Barbara) of MD, Eugene Stoms (Deborah) of Upper Deerfield Twp, son-in-law, Howard Pancoast of Upper Deerfield Twp.; grandchildren; Eric Davis, Matthew Davis, Melissa Davis Gregg, Christopher Pancoast, Douglas Pancoast, Joy Cole, Kimberly Fleetwood, Karen Mathews, Karol Blew and Keith Stoms; 34 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by; a step-daughter, Kathryn Pancoast; sisters, Anna Anderson and Ruth Sim; a brother, Harry Sturgis Jr., previous husband, Howard Davis Sr. Funeral Services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Thursday, March 4th at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Bethel Cemetery in Hurffville. Due to current regulations associated with the Covid-19 healthcare situation, we are limited to 75 people within the funeral home at a time and the understanding and cooperation of the public is greatly appreciated. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 10 AM to 11 AM prior to the services. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Deerfield United Methodist Church at P.O.
