John W. Shelton III, 47, of Cedarville passed away on Wednesday, February 9, 2021 as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. Born in Bridgeton to Christine M. Goslee Shelton and the late John W. Shelton, Jr., he was a lifetime resident of Cedarville. John was a welder by trade and an experienced mechanic and carpenter. He had been previously employed with various companies in the area. John was also a self employed and well known Tatoo Artist. He was a veteran of the United States Navy serving his country during peacetime. In his free time, he was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman. He is survived by; his mother, Christine M. Shelton of Cedarville; three sons, Brett C. Shelton (Kelsey) of Bridgeton, John B. Shelton of Bridgeton and Jacob J. Shelton of Bridgeton; his maternal grandmother, Jeanette M. Oliver of Bridgeton; his brothers, Michael H. Shelton (Latoya) of Mays Landing and Mark E. Shelton of Philadelphia, PA; His Boo Boo, Kristie Reed of Cedarville; a close family friend, Barry Halpin of Millville and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, John W. Shelton, Jr. Graveside funeral services will be held at Cedar Hill Cemetery, 197 Main Street, Cedarville on Wednesday, February 24th at 1 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heaven's Saints Worship Center, 221 Newport-Centre Grove Rd, Cedarville, NJ 08311.
