Frank Eugene Wheeler, 79, of Pennsville passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2021 at the Cumberland Manor in Hopewell Twp. Born in Fort Pierce, FL to the late Eddie Wheeler and Frances Virginia Mackey Paulhill, he was a resident of Salem County for the past 30 years. After graduating from Lincoln Park Academy in Fort Pierce, FL in 1963 he moved to Bridgeton where he lived for many years before moving to Pennsville area. Prior to his retirement, Frank had worked at the former Green Giant Co. (now General Mills Co. in Vineland) as a forklift operator for over 20 years. He had previously worked as a fork lift operator for Anchor Hocking Glass Co. in Salem and Leone Industries in Bridgeton. In his free time, Frank enjoyed fishing and going to garage sales and flea markets. He was an avid sports fan especially of the Philadelphia Eagles. He also loved to listen to his “oldies but goodies” music including The Dells and Sam Cooke. He is survived by; his children, Debra Wheeler Allen of Fort Pierce, FL, Roberta Cooper of Atlanta, GA, Frank Cooper (Yvette) of Bridgeton, Frances Williams of Bridgeton, Leonard Cooper (Stacy) of Millville and Ramona Cooper (Pete) of Woodbine; hes longtime companion, Callie Morrow of Salem; his siblings, Edith Wheeler of Fayetteville, NC, Edward Wheeler of Ruskin, FL, Tommy Lee Wheeler of St. Petersburg, FL, Michael Yarn of Tampa Bay, FL, Earl Wheeler of Jacksonville, FL, Louise Wheeler of St. Petersburg, FL, Doris Wheeler of Sarasota, FL, Adalynn Brooks of Bradenton, FL and Yvonne Brooks of Bradenton, FL; two god sisters, Tracey Evans of Marietta, GA and Chandra Harden of Palm Bay, FL; his best buddies, Vincent Jackson, Eddie Daughtey, Andy Robinson, Jeff Wilson, Terry Lee, John Fitchdtt, Eric Summerville and Jimmy Burton; 16 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and relatives in Nassau, Bahamas (where he and his family were descendants). He was preceded in death by; two sons, James Cooper and Sylvester Cooper and two brothers, Eddie Wheeler and Harry Wheeler. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Saturday, February 20th 11 AM. Interment will take place at Cedar Hill Memorial Park in Hopewell Twp. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 9 AM to 11 AM prior to the services. Due to current regulations associated with the Covid-19 healthcare situation, we are limited to 60 people within the funeral home at a time and the understanding and cooperation of the public is greatly appreciated.
