George W. Coombs III, 58, of Millville passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at Inspira Medical Center in Vineland. Born in Bridgeton to Barbara M. Loatman Coombs and the late George W. Coombs, Jr., he was the husband of Betty Clehm Coombs. He had been a resident of Millville for the past few years. Prior to that, George had resided in Vineland for about five years and Cedarville for many years. He had been most recently employed as a truck driver for Krichmar Produce in Vineland. He had also worked as a truck driver for Matt and Mike Logistics in Vineland and UGM Trucking in Pittsgrove. He had also been formerly employed at the 7up Bottling Plant in Bridgeton, Milford Fertilizer in Rosenhayn and Coombs Farms in Cedarville. George had been a member of Cedarville Volunteer Fire and Rescue Co., Fairton Volunteer Fire and Rescue Co. and the Bad Boys Motorcycle Club South Jersey Chapter. In his free time, George loved to spend time with his family and working in his yard. He also collected bird houses. Not only did he love to spend time with them but he had help raise many of his grandchildren. George also had a great love of planes and had dreamed of one day owning one. He is survived by; his wife of 39 years, Betty Coombs of Millville; his mother, Barbara Coombs; his three daughters, Laura Coombs (Seneca Donaldson) of Millville, Staci Bonner (Jason) of Virginia and Ashley Coombs of Glassboro; ten grandchildren, Tristan, Jeffery, Seneca, Makayla, Anthony, Alexander, Nicholas, Nathan, Ethan and Jonathan; his twin brother, James N. Coombs (Kathy D'Augustine) of Vineland; his brother, Timothy Coombs (Sheila) of Bridgeton; his niece, Tiffany Coombs of Tampa, FL; his nephew, James Coombs of Tampa, FL and his special adopted granddaughter, Keylanie Baez. He was preceded in death by; his father, George W. Coombs, Jr. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Friday, February 19th at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Fernwood Memorial Park in Hopewell Twp. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 9 AM to 11 AM for a walkthrough visitation prior to the services. Due to current regulations associated with the Covid-19 healthcare situation, we are limited to 60 people within the funeral home at a time and the understanding and cooperation of the public is greatly appreciated.
