Obituary of Cassandra Baker

Cassandra “Cookie” Baker, 71, of Fairfield Twp. passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Inspira Medical Center in Vineland. Born in Pompano Beach, FL to the late Leroy Simpson and Esther Dorgan Simpson, She was the husband of Ronald Wesley Baker, Sr. Cassandra had lived in New Jersey since she was sixteen years old and had moved to Fairfield Twp. when she was married in 1966. She and her husband Ronald had been married for 54 years. Cassandra had been a homemaker. In her free time, she enjoyed visiting the casinos, completing crossword puzzles and scratch off lottery tickets. She is survived by; her husband, Ronald W. Baker, Sr. of Fairfield Twp.; three children, Helen R. Baker of Bridgeton, Ronald Baker, Jr. of Bridgeton and Michael Baker of Bridgeton; two sisters, Gail Williams of Deerfield, FL and Louise Johnson of Deerfield, FL; 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by; her son, Brian Baker; three brothers, Leroy Simpson, Jr., Tony Simpson and Raymond Simpson and a sister, Arlene Simpson. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Friday, February 12th at 2 PM. Interment will take place at Cedar Hill Memorial Park in Hopewell Twp. A walkthrough visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1 PM to 2 PM prior to the services.
