Obituary of Tonya Denise Coleman

Tonya Denise Coleman, 41, of Vineland, died Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at South Jersey Hospital-Elmer following two years of declining health. Born in Bridgeton on April 5, 1971, to Elmer Brown, Sr. of Bridgeton and the late Josephine Harmon Brown, she was the wife of Tyrone G. Coleman, Sr. She had been a Vineland resident for 19 years and prior to that had lived in Bridgeton. Tonya had been employed as a supervisor at the Vineland Developmental Center for 8 years and before that was employed at Rainbow Convalescent Center in Pittsgrove Township for 15 years. She attended Shiloh Baptist Church in Vineland and grew up in the Bethany Christian Church in Bridgeton. In addition to her father and her husband Tyrone, she is survived by two sons, Tyrone G. Coleman, Jr. of Douglasville, GA and Tyron D. Coleman of Vineland; two sisters, Donna Brown-McNair of Douglasville, GA and Sharon Brown-Willingham of Douglasville, GA, a brother, Elmer Brown, Jr. of Bridgeton, a mother in law; Beulah Coleman of Bridgeton; a father in law; Alphonso "Lonnie" Coleman of Bridgeton; two brothers in law, Ronnie Coleman of Bridgeton and Keith Coleman of Bridgeton; a sister in law, Mary Ann Coleman and a host of nieces, nephews and other family. Funeral services will be held at Shiloh Baptist Church, 757 West Walnut Avenue, Vineland on Wednesday, November 7th at 12 Noon. A viewing will be held at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 AM to 12 Noon prior to the services. Entombment will take place at Greenmount Cemetery in Hammonton.
