Theodosia Jordan, 74, of Millville passed away on Monday, January 4, 2021 at Cooper University Hospital in Camden. Born in Aiken, SC, she was the daughter of the late Paul Doyle and Pearlie Bailey Doyle and the wife of the late J.B. Jordan. She had been a Millville resident for the past four years and prior to that had lived in Bridgeton most of her life. Before her retirement, she had been employed at Cumberland Manor in Hopewell Township for several years. She had also worked at the Vineland Developmental Center and the Murbeck Corp. in Bridgeton for many years. She was a member of the Bridgeton Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses and enjoyed raising her six children, her family and also enjoyed sewing. Theodosia is survived by her six children, Sheila Bryant (Larry) of Bridgeton, Valerie Joyner of SC, Rita Carter of Millville, Carl Johnson of TN, Amy Waters of Bridgeton and Kimberly Smith (Anthony) of Bridgeton, 32 grandchildren, 83 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Earl Doyle of NY and Horace Doyle of Bridgeton; four sisters, Virginia Stephanie of Bridgeton, Betty King of East Orange, Ruby Collins of Vineland and Barbara Robinson of Port Norris. She was predeceased by her daughter, Sharon Johnson; her sisters, Alberta Shelby, Catherine Olyphant, Jessie Smith-Bey and Irene Doyle; her brothers, Curtis Doyle, A.C. Doyle, Ralph Doyle, Isadore Doyle, Harold Doyle and Abdul Shelby and her grandson, Azahia Smith. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Wednesday, January 13th at 11:00AM. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 9:00 to 11:00 AM prior to the services. Interment will take place at Cedar Hill Memorial Park in Hopewell Township. Due to current regulations associated with the Covid-19 healthcare situation, we are limited to 50 people within the funeral home at a time and the understanding and cooperation of the public is greatly appreciated.
