Obituary of Jeffrey S. Martin

Born in Bridgeton on April 11, 1966 to Casey Martin, Sr. of Minotola and Gloria Goldsboro Martin of Bridgeton, he was the husband of Denise Newsome Martin. He had lived in Millville for the past 23 years and prior to that had resided in Bridgeton. A graduate of the Bridgeton High School Class of 1985, he had received a scholarship to attend Nebraska State College to continue his education then transferred to Trenton State College to play football.
Jeffrey was employed as a construction worker by Tri-State Construction in Millville. He had been very active as a basketball coach, a soccer assistant coach and he was studying to be a union representative with Union Local 222. His joy in life was spending time with his family, friends and co-workers at Tri-State.
In addition to his parents and his devoted wife Denise, he is survived by his children, Ashley Glover of FL, Brandon Glover of FL, Darell Vinson of Finland, Sharell Vinson of Vineland, Kiara Jones of Vineland, and Jeffery S. Martin, Jr. of Millville; two brothers, Casey Martin, Jr. of Millville and Bronze Martin of Bridgeton; three sisters; Cynthia Martin of Millville, Crystal Martin-Solomon of Millville and Ebony Griffin of Bridgeton; five grandchildren; Jayla, Madison, Kendall, Jayden and Carlton and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by a brother, Darnell Bell and a sister, Fercenda Elaine Stringer (Cindy).
Funeral Services will be held at Union Baptist Temple, South Pine Street and Martin Luther King, Jr. Way, Bridgeton, on Tuesday, November 6th at 11 AM. Burial will take place at Fernwood Memorial Park in Hopewell Twp. Friends will be received from 9 to 11 AM prior to the services at the church. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, Upper Deerfield Township. In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions be made to the Jeffrey S. Martin, Sr. memorial fund for his son, Jeffrey, Jr., c/o Tri-State Construction, 2516 Mays Landing Road, Millville, NJ 08332.
