Steven G. Devore, 81 of Elgin, South Carolina and formerly of Bridgeton passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at his home. He was born in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania and was the husband of Shirley Thompson Devore. Prior to his retirement, Steve had worked in sales at the P.J. Ritter Company in Bridgeton, Hunt Wesson Foods in Bridgeton, and also at the former Sorantino Cadillac, Pete and Hitch Ford, Suburban Cable Co. and Sammons Cable Co. in Bridgeton. He was a member of First Wesleyan Church in Upper Deerfield Township and had been attending Harvest Baptist Church in Lugoff, SC since moving from the Bridgeton area. Steve enjoyed woodworking, selling on eBay and listening to music, especially the “oldies”. Steven G. Devore was survived by his loving wife, Shirley Devore, and his three children, Sherri Adams (Pierre), Steven Devore, Jr., and Susan Daigle (Steve), and his five grand-children, Nathan, Madolyne, Sarah, Gabriella, and Meghan. He was pre-deceased by his parents, Stephen Dvorznak and Claire Rother Dvorznak, as well as his sister, Joan Claire Jones. Graveside committal services will be held at Laurel Lawn Cemetery in Upper Deerfield Township where the interment will follow the services. Memorial services will be held at a future date at First Wesleyan Church. Arrangements are under the direction of the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, Upper Deerfield Township. In lieu of flowers, donations will be appreciated to the American Kidney Foundation, Gideons International. and the Deborah Hospital Foundation.
