Obituary of John "Jeff" F. Rugenus

John F. Rugenus “Jeff”, 56, of Bridgeton passed away Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Inspira Medical Center in Vineland surrounded by his sons. Jeff was born in Bridgeton on November 25, 1964 and was the son of John “Jack” Rugenus and the late Julia “Jean” Masoryak Rugenus. He graduated from Bridgeton High School in 1983. Jeff worked at Wheaton Glass Company in the mold shop for several years before moving on to work at Schmidt's Bakery in Millville for 14 years before their closing. He had also worked for Stroehmann Bakeries in New Castle, DE. Jeff was a dedicated sports fan, especially of the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies and enjoyed listening to music. Jeff loved receiving phone calls from his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed puzzles books of many kinds especially Sudoku and cryptograms. Besides his father, Jack Rugenus, Jeff is survived by; his four sons, Michael Rugenus and his wife, Brittany (Walder) of Lawrence Twp., Phillip Rugenus of Pittsgrove Twp., Nicholas Rugenus of Cedarville and Ryan Rugenus of Dividing Creek; four grandchildren, Julian, Phillip, Jr., Elisabeth and Kylie; his brother, Michael Rugenus and his wife, Donna of Upper Deerfield Twp.; his sister, Tracie Miletta and her husband, Mike of Upper Deerfield Twp, his sister-in-law, Patty and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by; his mother, Julia “Jean” Rugenus and his brother, Mark Rugenus, Sr. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77 Upper Deerfield Twp. on Monday, December 21st at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Overlook Cemetery in Bridgeton. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 10 AM to 11 AM prior to the services.
